Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 818200, case No. 295194, Ref. 542, made in 1928 and sold on 7 October 1938. Extremely fine and rare, early, small «World Time», 18ct gold gentleman's wristwatch.

C. massive, polished, revolving bezel bearing the names of 30 towns in the world, straight lugs. D. mat silver with painted Roman numerals, concentric revolving dial in 24 hours for the nocturnal and diurnal hours. «Spade» gold hands. M. 10-rhodiumed, " fausses côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, flat balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. In excellent condition. Diam. 27 mm.

Only 4 examples of this watch in this small size is known today, and this one is the only one without a reeded bezel. This «World Time» system was invented by Louis Cottier and produced for Patek Philippe, Vacheron & Constantin, Agassiz and Rolex.
