Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, "Pagoda", No.1859437, case No. 4014179, Ref. 5500. Produced in a limited edition of 150 exam-ples in platinum in 1997, sold on November 27, 1997. All examples have been sold. Very fine and very rare, rectangular, flared, "bombé", "Pagoda"-shaped, platinum gentleman?s wristwatch with a platinum Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by a comme-morative booklet, a certificate, an attestation and a "Bulletin de Marche" delivered by the "Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres".

C. two-body, solid, polished, concave sides, case back engraved "Commemoration 1997 Pagoda". D. black with applied white gold Roman numerals, auxiliary seconds dial. "Feuille" white gold hands. M. Cal. 215, stamped with the Geneva Quality Hallmark, rhodium-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating free-sprung balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 29 x 41 mm.

The Pagoda series was created in 1997 to mark the inauguration of Patek Philippe's new watchmaking manufacture in Geneva. De-struction of the tools and dies used in its production ensure that this model, reference 5500, can no longer be made.
