M. 215 Geneva Quality Hall Mark, rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 18 jewels, lever escapement, Giromax balance adjusted for heat, cold isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, selfcompensating flat balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 29 x 41 mm.

The Pagoda series was specially produced in 1997 to mark the inauguration of Patek Philippe's new watchmaking centre in Geneva. Destr uction of the tools and dies used in its manufacture ensures that this model, reference 5500, can no longer be produced. Each watch is accompanied by a silver medal edited for the inauguration of Patek Philippe's new manufacture and bears the dedication: Henri Stern et Philippe Stern a torts nos anus, a 1'occasion rle l'inaugaraiion de la rtnrrturlle Manefaelua'e Patch Philippe. This series of wristwatches was produced in limited editions as follows: Gentleman's chronometer wristwatches, Ref. 5500: 1100 in 18K yellow gold - Ref. 5500J 500 in 18K pink gold - Ref. 5500R 250 in 18K white gold - Ref. 550OG 150 in platinum - Ref. 5500P Each watch is also accompanied by a "Bulletin de Marche" delivered by the "Contrble Officiel Suisse des Chronometres".
