Ref. 565, Stainless Steel Patek Philippe & Co, Genève, movement No. 928905, case No. 639898, Ref. 565. Retailed by E. Gübelin, Luzern. Made in 1946, sold on September 12, 1946. Very fine and rare, stainless steel wristwatch with a stainless steel Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.

C. Two-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back, anti-magnetic cap, lapidated bezel, concave lugs. D. Two-tone sand with applied steel Arabic numerals and baton indexes, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial. Steel feuille hands. M. Cal. 12''', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, selfcompensating blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness 10 mm.

Ref. 565 Production of this reference started in 1938 with caliber 12'''120, which was superseded in 1942 by the center seconds caliber 12SC.
This model is very sought after by collectors and furthermore inspire the creation in 2006 of the Ref 5565, in stainless steel with two tone dial, made in a limited edition of 300 pieces to celebrate the re-opening of the Patek Philippe boutique in Geneva.
