C. Two-body, solid, polished, stepped curved bezel, triangular lugs. D. Brushed silvered with applied steel Breguet numerals, subsidiary guilloche seconds dial, outer engraved dot minute divisions. Steel feuille hands. M. Cal. 12'''-120, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, wolf?s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronisms and fi ve positions, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 32.5 mm. Thickness 10 mm. Property of a German Collector

Notes

The present watch is only the fi fth example of the reference 592 in steel to appear at auction. The Extract from the Archives confi rms the production of this watch with silvered dial and raised steel Breguet fi gures, the dial was renovated by Patek Philippe in 2002. The reference 592 was launched in 1938 and continued in production until the end of the 1940s. This watch is illustrated on page 52 in the book "Patek Philippe Kult-Objekt & Wert-Anlage" by J. Michael Mehltretter
