Cylindrical brass with panels and domed top, entirely covered with claret-colored suede, five applied brass panels of a globe; an anchor; a ship?s wheel; dividers and points of the compass, the solar cells on top of the dome, case raised on 3 ribbed feet. D. Matte off-white with applied brushed gilt chapter ring with applied circular indexes and four sapphire quarter-hour indexes. Gilt dauphine hands. M. Cal. 17-250, solar-powered by photoelectric cell with lithium battery back-up, driving a remontoir train, winding the barrel spring, 29 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial and movement signed. Dim. 22 x 13 cm.
