C. Demi-lune shaped brass with applied scroll mounts to the front on partially gilded red lacquer panels, the solar cells on top within a sunburst mount, raised on 4 bun feet. D. Brushed gilt chapter ring with black Roman numerals, speckled gilded center. Engraved pierced gilt hands. M. Cal. 17-250, solar-powered by photoelectric cell with lithium battery back-up, driving a remontoir train, winding the barrel spring, 29 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, selfcompensating Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial and movement signed. Dim. 22.8 x 20 x 11 cm.
