Piaget, Swiss, circa 1840. Fine mahogany quarter repeating "Grande and Petite Sonnerie" striking, eight day going Neuchdteloise clock with alarm.
C. Rectangular wit domed pediment and pendulum glazed aperture below the dial, gilt bronze bezel and four bim feet. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, and outer Arabic minute ring. Blued steel and gilt brass "sun" hands. M. Square brass with going barrel both for the going and the striking trains, anchor escapement, spring suspension. "Grande and Petite Sonnerie" striking on gongs with pull released repeating and optional selection lever on the back all the striking work visible on the back plate. Pull wind alarm on gongs.
