Piaget, No. 225, case No. 3565, made in the 1920s. Fine rectangular platinum lady's watch set with single, square and baguette-cut diamonds, on platinum cord band with platinum and diamond set fasteners and clasp.
C. Two-body, hinged, diamond-set upper, decorated sides and outer reverse engraved "Alice McCarthy", multiple-hinged diamond-set shoulders. D. Matte silver dial with painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel feuille hands. M. LeCoultre caliber, rhodium-plated, 17 jewel adjusted to five positions and temperature with straight-line lever escapement, cut bi metallic balance, blued steel Breguet overcoil hairspring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed, case numbered. Dim. 30 x 11 mm, Approx. overall length 180 mm.
