PLANCHON CERCLES TOURNANT TABLE CLOCK Planchon, Paris, No. 467. Made circa 1890. Fine and unusual, gilt-brass, 8-day going, hour and halfhour striking, cercles tournant table clock with visible movement.

C. Cylindrical form, gilt-brass, two supports with scroll terminals, a flower swag below the clock, glazed upper section displaying the movement, circular base. D. Hour ring with bold Roman numerals on white enamel rectangular cartouches, minutes ring above with Arabic numerals on white enamel cartouches. Paste-set star pointer to read the time. M. Circular brass plates, mounted horizontally on four turned brass legs, going barrels for both trains, anchor escapement with brass bob pendulum, striking the hours and half-hours on a bell beneath the movement. Movement signed. DIM. 36 x 14.5 cm.
