CHARLES POLUZZI, GENEVA. MADE CIRCA 1950. Extremely fine and unique, five hand-painted original watercolor designs for enamels, framed together in a giltwood frame. Comprising: a small oval design of a man and dog seated under a tree "Saule Pleureur"; two landscapes after Rubens, "Paysage d'Italie" and "Castle Garden" and two original landscape compositions by Charles Poluzzi. The four rectangular paintings signed "Poluzzi", the oval signed "CH.P." DIM. 6.8 x 4.8 cm. (rectangular), 35 x 28 mm. (oval). In very good condition. The following two lots represent an important new discovery and an invaluable addition to the known work of CHARLES POLUZZI. Remaining in the family of the present owner since their creation, the two lots comprise a total of 24 unique and exquisite original artworks, each signed by CHARLES POLUZZI. The watercolor on the lower right is the original design for the enamel plaque "Castle Garden" after Rubens which is offered as lot 254. The central oval painting "Saule Pleureur" is the original design for the enamel plaque by POLUZZI sold by Antiquorum, Geneva, March 17th, 2013, lot 449.
