Notes

Rolex, Ref. 6265

Rolex references 6263 and 6265 were launched at the beginning of the 1970’s in order to replace the previous references, such as 6262 and 6264. The chronograph’s screwed push-pieces on the case-band brought an essential improvement: the waterproofness at 50 metres.

Produced from 1971 to 1988, the Ref. 6265 is well known for its “sport-look”, with the famous smooth bezel with tachymeter scale.

This watch is rare and well preserved. This is the luxury version with 18K yellow gold case and bracelet, with a beautiful “Champagne” dial.

The Ref. 6265, 18K yellow gold version, has been produced approximately in 750 pieces.

Rolex, “Daytona”

In 1963, the first “Cosmograph” introduced into Rolex’s collection was launched. In 1964, Rolex joined the French races “Le Mans” and also with the famous American car circuit “Daytona”. The “Cosmograph” was first marketed under the name “Le Mans”, but Rolex very quickly opted for the name “Daytona”. This is the beginning of a legendary adventure!
