?Time To The Second? Rolex, Geneva, ?Time to the Second?, No. 1039. Made circa 1960. Fine, painted and gilt brass shop display timepiece with stop feature, in the original Rolex wooden fitted box.
C. Flared cylindrical form set at an angle, painted in mottled green soft enamel, brass base, applied gilt brass letters for ?Rolex? and ?Time to the Second?, hinged panel at the base to access the movement. D. Brushed silvered with applied gilt faceted indexes and Roman quarter-hour numerals, outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gilt ?dauphine? hands. M. Rhodium-plated, battery-powered, 16 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, stop lever protruding at 6 o'clock. Dial, case, movement and box signed. Dim. 15 x 13 (base) x 10 cm. high.
