Ref. 4325 ?Metropolitan? Rolex, "Chronomètre", Ref. 4325. Case No. 63425. Made in 1955 and retailed by Ronchi, Milano. Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with a yellow gold tile-link bracelet.

Gilt with silver gilt and printed bâton indexes and radial Roman quarters, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds. Yellow gold ?Dauphine? hands. M. Cal. 700, 10 1/2''', rhodium-plated, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, Superbalance adjusted to six positions, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case, and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness 8.5 mm.

Reference 4325 appeared in the Rolex catalogue from 1943 to 1955 and was available in stainless steel and 10K pink and yellow gold as well as 18K pink and yellow gold. This model was referred to in period advertising as the ?Metropolitan, the elegant businessman?s chronometer?. The calibre 700, 10 1/2??? was produced between 1944 and 1951.
