Ref. 3059 ?Prince Elegant Curvex? Rolex, ?Prince Elegant Curvex?, Ref. 3059. Case No. 36421. Made in 1937. Very fine and extremely rare, curved and faceted rectangular, 18K pink gold gentleman's wristwatch with 18K pink gold Rolex buckle.

C. Two-body, polished, curved and faceted, curved crystal. D. Two-tone pink with painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel ?épée? hands. M. 8??? , tonneau-shaped, rhodium plated, 17 jewels, lateral lever escapement, Superbalance with two adjustments, self compensating Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 21 x 43 mm. Thickness 9 mm.

The ?Prince Elegant Curvex? is characterized by its deeply curved rectangular case which is designed to closely fit the wrist. Examples of reference 3059 in pink gold are extremely rare; this is the first example to pass through these rooms in the last 10 years.
