Ref. 6265 ?Gold Cosmograph? Rolex, ?Oyster, Superlative Chronometer, Officially Certified, Cosmograph?, Ref. 6265/6263. Case No. R328842. Made in 1987. Fine and rare, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, gold bezel with tachometer and an 18K yellow gold Rolex buckle.

C. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back, buttons and crown, tachometer graduation on the gold bezel to 200 units per hour. D. Bi-colored black and champagne with applied gold bâton indexes, luminous dots, outer minute/seconds track, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers. Luminous gold "bâton" hands. M. Cal. 727, rhodium plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 3 positions, shockabsorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, Microstella regulating screws. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 37 mm. Thickness 13 mm.

Notes

The gold examples of reference 6265 and 6263 were certified chronometers, as stated on the dial. The present lot bears two reference numbers: 6265 between the lugs, which refers the specific characteristics of this watch, and 6263 in the case back. References 6265 and 6263 are identical with the exception of the bezel. The case bodies and backs were interchangeable at the factory.
