Ref. 6512 "Veriflat" Rolex Oyster "Veriflat", Officially Certified Chronometer, Ref. 6512. Case No. 322337. Made in 1957. Fine and rare, thin, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with original Rolex bracelet and gold plated buckle.

C. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, sloped bezel, concave lugs. D. Matte silver with applied yellow gold baton and dart indexes and tritium dots, sunk subsidiary seconds. Luminous gold "Alpha" hands. M. Cal. 1000, rhodium-plated, "oeil-de-perdrix" decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 34 mm. Height 8 mm.

Reference 6512 is interesting due to its case which is considerably thinner than the standard Oyster case. The calibre 1000 was produced only one year in 1955. This watch is illustrated in ?Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches?, by Osvaldo Patrizzi, 2001 Edition, p. 122.
