Blued steel ?Breguet? hands. M. Cal. 700, 10 1/2''', ?Extra-Prima?, rhodium plated, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Dial, case, and movement signed. Dim. 32 x 32 mm. Thickness 12 mm.

An advertisment for this watch from the 1920s states that the Rolex Oyster is ?the only Precision Wrist Watch that is permanently Watertight, Dustproof, Airtight, Oyster Standard, For all Sports, Climates, Occupations, Water, Land, Air.? The caliber 700 was created in 1938 and was in regular production from 1944 to 1951. This watch is illustrated in ?Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches?, by Osvaldo Patrizzi, 2001 Edition, pp. 100, 101.
