Ref. 1607 Yellow Gold ?Datejust? Rolex,?Oyster Perpetual, Datejust, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified?, Ref.1607/1601. Case No 2909347. Made in 1972. Fine, tonneau-shaped, center seconds, self-winding, waterresistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with date and an 18K yellow gold Rolex bracelet.

C. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, bark effect bezel, screwed-down case back and crown, crystal with "cyclops" lens. D. Champagne with applied gold ridged indexes, luminous dots, outer minute/seconds divisions, aperture for the date. Luminous yellow gold "bâton" hands. M. Cal. 1575, rhodiumplated, "oeil-de-perdrix" decoration, 26 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness 12 mm.

The present lot bears two reference numbers, 1607 on the body of the watch, which refers to the specific characteristics of this watch, and ref 1601 in the case back, references 1607 and 1601 are identical with the exception of the bezel.
