Notes

The GMT-Master line was created for aviators and the jet-set. The GMT-Master was the official watch of Pan-Am airlines and indicates time in two separate time-zones via the revolving bezel and the 24-hour hand. The wearer sets the bezel to home or reference time and uses this in conjunction with the 24-hour hand. Ref. 1675 was launched in 1960 and was available in stainless steel and 18K yellow gold. Caliber 1565 is an improved version of the caliber 1560. The bridge of the caliber 1565 is however still engraved 1560. For the technical details see the Rolex Oyster catalogue R20. This watch is illustrated in ?Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches?, by Osvaldo Patrizzi, 2001 Edition, p. 326.
