Ref. 5500, ?Metropolitan? Rolex, ?Oyster Perpetual, Metropolitan, Super Precision?, Ref. 5500. Case No. 285889. Made in 1957. Fine and unusual, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, tonneau-shaped, stainless steel gentleman?s wristwatch with gilt movement and a stainless steel Rolex buckle.

C. Three-body, polished, screwed-down case back and crown, inclined bezel. D. Matte silver with applied steel faceted indexes and luminous dots, outer minute/seconds divisions. Luminous ?Alpha? hands. M. Cal. 1530, gilt, 25 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 34 mm. Thickness 12 mm.
