Ref. 6036 Stainless Steel So-called "Jean-Claude Killy" Rolex, "Oyster Chronograph, Anti-Magnetic?, Ref. 6036. Case No. 917932. Made in 1952. Very fine and rare, tonneau-shaped, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, triple date and a stainless steel Rolex buckle.

C. Two-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, inclined bezel. D. Matte silver with sunken silvered pyramidal indexes, subsidiary "guilloché" dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers, outer blue painted graduation for the days of the month, apertures for the days of the week and the months. White gold "Alpha" hands. M. Cal. 72C, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness: 14 mm.

Ref. 6036 The so-called "Jean-Claude Killy" Antimagnetic chronograph with triple date was produced from the mid-1940s to the early 1960?s, with various dial designs and hand shapes and with 4 different references: - In the mid 1940s: Ref. 4767 - From 1948 to 1951: Ref. 5036 - From 1951 to 1955: Ref 6036, called by collectors the "Killy watch" Jean-Claude Killy was an international ski champion in the 1960s. This reference was produced in 170 examples in yellow gold, 144 examples in pink gold and very few in stainless steel. The main difference between the 6236 and the 6036 is that the 6236 has a three-body case and the 6036 has a two-body case.
