Notes

Reference 3139 was available in two case sizes, mid-sized like the present lot, and a larger size. The dial of this watch is interesting as it has a typical ?military-type? layout, with large clear luminous Arabic and baton markers. This clearly was the reason for the name ?Army? on the dial. This watch is illustrated in ?Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches?, by Osvaldo Patrizzi, 2001 Edition, p. 105
