?Display Deck Watch? Rolex, ?Chronometro Ginevra?. Made for the Italian market, circa 1935. Fine and rare, mahogany brass-bound, 8-day going, display timepiece in the form of a gimballed deck watch with stop button.

Two-piece mahogany with brass-bound corners, the interior of the lid mounted with a plaque with the Rolex logo, listing various achievements, silvered border around the watch inscribed ?Concessionari in Tutte Le Principali Citta Del Mondo?, gimballed frosted weighted brass bowl. D. Two-tone with champlevé bâton markers and Arabic quarter-hour numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Black ?bâton? hands. M. 60 mm., rhodium-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, stop button in the side. Dim. 15.5 x 15 x 10.2 cm.
