Fine tonneau-shaped, center seconds, selfwinding, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold linen-textured gentleman?s wristwatch with day, date and an 18K yellow gold Rolex buckle.

C. Three-body, solid, linen-textured and polished, screwed-down case back and crown, linentextured bezel, crystal with "cyclops" lens. D. Gilt with applied gold baton markers, luminous dots, outer minute/seconds divisions, apertures for the day of the week and the date. Luminous yellow gold ?Alpha? hands. M. Cal. 1555, rhodiumplated, 26 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Dial, case, and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 13.5 mm.

The reference 1806 is the reference number that refers to the specific characteristics of this watch, the reference 1803 is the identical watch from the same series but with a polished and brushed case and faceted bezel. The case bodies and backs are interchangeable and it was quite usual for watches to leave the factory with different references on the body and back from within the same series.
