?Ref. 2508? Rolex, Ref. 2508. Case No. 025330. Made in 1936 and retailed by Astrua, Torino. Very fine and extremely rare, large stainless steel gentleman' s wristwatch with olive button chronograph, register, tachometer and stainless steel Rolex buckle.

C. Three-body, satiné, polished flat bezel, concave lugs. D. Three-tone matte silver and gilt sector dial with baton hours, Arabic 6 and 12, outer minute/ seconds divisions, outermost telemeter, inner ?snail? tachometer, subsidiary seconds and 30 minutes register dials. Blued steel ?feuille? hands. M. 14???, rhodium plated, 17 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 12 mm.

Notes

Reference 2508 was first issued in a 37 mm case with olive-shaped pushers, it was then revised with a 36 mm case with square pushers (see lot 85).
