Ref. 6265/6263 ?Stainless Steel Cosmograph? Rolex, ?Oyster, Cosmograph?, Ref. 6265/6263. Made in 1975. Very fine and rare, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, stainless steel bezel with tachometer graduated to 200 units per hour, and a stainless steel Oyster bracelet.

C. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back, buttons and crown, with tachometer graduation on the steel bezel, to 200 units per hour. D. Bi-colored silver and black with applied steel bâton indexes, luminous dots, outer minute/ seconds track, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers. Luminous steel "bâton" hands. M. Cal. 727, rhodium plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 3 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, Microstella regulating screws. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 37 mm. Thickness 13 mm.

The present lot bears two reference numbers: 6265 between the lugs, which refers to the specific characteristics of this watch, and 6263 in the case back.. References 6265 and 6263 are identical with the exception of the bezel. The case bodies and backs were interchangeable at the factory.
