Ref. 6036, So-Called "Jean-Claude Killy". Rolex "Oyster Chronographe, Anti-Magnetique", Ref. 6036. Made circa 1950. Very fine and important, tonneau-shaped, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, triple date and an 18K yellow gold Rolex buckle.

Two-tone silver with applied yellow gold pyramidal indexes, outer minute/ seconds divisions, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers, outermost graduation for the days of the month in blue Arabic numerals, apertures for the days of the week and the months. Yellow gold ?Alpha" hands. M. Cal. 72C, 13''', rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 13 mm.

Ref. 6036 Antimagnetic chronograph with triple date. Produced in few examples from 1948 to 1955 in 18K yellow or pink gold and very few in stainless steel, with various dial designs and hand shapes. Called by collectors the "Jean-Claude Killy" after the famous 1960s world ski champion.
