Notes

It is very unusual to find a reference 6206 in such a good condition and with a white honeycomb dial. Ref. 6202. Was the first watch in the so-called professional line. This watch is characterized by its revolving bezel, which allows the watch to be used as a chronograph for timing events with a duration of less than one hour. The watch was also available in stainless steel and gold. For the Italian market, the model cost 58,800 Lire in stainless steel, and 62,000 Lire with a stainless steel bracelet. The stainless steel and gold model cost 76,000 lire and with bracelet 94,500 lire. A similar watch is illustrated in ?Rolex, Collecting Modern and Vintage Wristwatches?, by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Guido Mondani 2006 Edition, Vol II, p 283.
