On gold models, it is rare to find dart indexes mixed with Arabic numerals. In the Rolex catalogue of 1953, this reference was called "Cosmograph". The yellow gold model remained in the Rolex catalogue until 1960.Similar watches are published in "Collezionare Orologi da Polso Rolex", Edition 1998, by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Guido Mondani Editore Genova, pp. 224 to 227 and 284.
