Ref. 6238, Stainless Steel Black Dial Pre-Daytona Rolex, ?Oyster Chronograph?, case No. 1207295, Ref. 6238. Made in 1965. Extremely fine and rare, water-resistant stainless steel wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, tachometer, black dial and a riveted stainless steel Oyster bracelet.

C. Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, polished inclined bezel. D. Matte black with applied lapidated steel baton indexes and luminous dots, outer silver painted minute and fifths of a second divisions, outermost tachometer graduation, subsidiary guilloché dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers. Luminous steel baton hands. M. Cal. 722, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 3 positions, microstella regulating screws, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 13 mm.
