Fine, two time zone, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with date, independently adjustable 12-hour hand, and a stainless steel Oyster bracelet. Accompanied by its original certificate (now void) service invoice, booklets and original fitted box.

C. Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, steel bezel graduated in 24 hours, sapphire crystal with cyclops lens. D. Off-white with luminous round, baton and triangular indexes, aperture for the date. Luminous steel skeleton hands, second-time-zone red arrow hand independently adjustable for the second timezone. M. Cal. 3185, rhodium-plated, oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 31 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock absorber, free-sprung self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 40 mm. Thickness 12 mm.

Until very recently it was thought that only the Explorer II Ref 16550 came with the desirable Ivory dial (see lot 108- 109). As can be seen in the following lot, this reference also came with this exotic version of the dial and it will not be long before this reference enjoys the same cult following as its sister version.
