Notes

The GMT Master was an immediate success, and was quickly adopted as the official timepiece of many of the world?s leading airlines. A 1960 Rolex catalog stated that twenty out of twenty-one aircraft navigators considered it an important professional aid. In late 1950?s, the second generation GMT Master was launched, the reference 1675. The 1675 model was fitted with the protective crown guards. On the first models the profile of the crown guard is pointed.
