Explorer Gilt Minute Track Rolex, Oyster Perpetual "Explorer", Officially Certified Chronometer, Ref. 6610. Made in 1957. Fine and rare, center seconds, self-winding, water resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with a stainless steel Rolex Oyster expansion bracelet.

Cal. 1030, rhodium-plated, 25 jewels, straightline lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock absorber, selfcompensating Breguet balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 13 mm.

The Explorer, Ref. 6610 was the fourth Explorer. Launched in 1955, it was fitted with the 1030 movement. On all sports models from this period the seconds hand was painted white. This was the last Explorer to be fitted with a honeycomb dial.
