Notes

The Ref. 1016 was initially fitted with the 1530 movement and later the 1560 movement with Microstella regulating screws on the balance and since 1975, cal. 1570 with a hack mechanism was utilized. The 1016's successful blend of the sports and dress watch look has made it very attractive to today's collectors. Ref. 1016 remained in the Rolex catalogue until 1989, when it was removed prior to its replacement by the 14270 model.
