Notes

This ?Day-Date? chronometer is one of the most original examples of a 6611B to have appeared on the market. The watch still retains its original ?Jubilee? bracelet reference 6311. At the time this watch was launched it was available with either a gold bracelet or with two leather straps and a gold buckle. It was unusual at the time for any watch to be delivered with two straps. Production of the Day-Date started in 1956. This model was produced in 18k pink, white and yellow gold as well as platinum, 6 examples are known in stainless steel. A similar watch is illustrated in ?Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches?, by Osvaldo Patrizzi, 2001, p. 258, 259.
