Ref. 4767 Jean-Claude Killy Rolex "Oyster Chronographe Anti-Magnetique", case No. 584454, Ref. 4767. Made in 1947. Very fine and very rare, early, tonneau-shaped, water-resistant, antimagnetic, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, triple date calendar.

C. Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, concave lugs. D. Two-tone matte silver with applied yellow gold dot indexes with Roman 12, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers, outer minute/seconds division with five minute Arabic numerals, outermost graduation for the days of the month in light blue, apertures for the days of the week and the months. Yellow gold baton hands. M. 13''', rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, selfcompensating blued Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 14 mm.

Ref. 4767 was the first Oyster chronograph with triple date and chronograph. This reference was produced in yellow and pink gold as well as in stainless steel.
Evolution of Ref. 4767 - 6036 - 6236 Antimagnetic chronograph with triple date. Produced in few examples from the mid 1940s to the early 1960s in 18K yellow or pink gold and very few in stainless steel, with various dial designs and hand shapes and with four different references: In the mid 1940s: Ref. 4767. From 1948 to 1951: Ref. 5036. From 1951 to 1955: Ref. 6036. Called by collectors the "Killy watch", this reference was produced in 170 examples in yellow gold, 144 examples in pink gold and very few in stainless steel - From 1958 to 1962: Ref. 6236.
Jean-Claude Killy (born August 30, 1943) A French alpine skier and a triple Olympic champion. He was a World Cup champion in 1967 and again in 1968. Killy won the Triple Crown of Alpine Skiing with a sweep of all three gold medals at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France, in the slalom, giant slalom and downhill events.
