Military Watch Rolex, No. 540. The case with British Ministry of Defence issue numbers A.16408/G.S.MK.II. Made for military use, circa 1940. Fine and rare, nickel-cased, keyless pocket watch with black military dial.

Black enamel, gilt-outlined luminous Arabic numerals, outer gilt minute track, subsidiary seconds, the military issue number A.16408 painted gold below the signature. Luminous skeleton hands. M. 18???, rhodium-plated, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 50 mm.
