C. Three body, "demi-bassine", polished. Hinged gold cuvette. D. Matte silver, marked "Eaton" and 1/4.C.E.N.T.U.R.Y.C.L.U.B. in place of numerals. Blued steel epee hands. M. 15"', rhodiumplated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance timed in six positions, blued steel Breguet balance spring, micrometer regulator. Case and cuvette signed R.W.C. Ltd. Diam. 42 mm.

The 1/4 Century Club Timothy Eaton (1834-1907) opened his first department store in Toronto in 1869. By the early 20th century T. Eaton Co. Ltd. had become one of Canada?s largest retailers. The 1/4 Century Club watches, made from the 1930's until as late as the 1960's, were given by the company to employees in appreciation of 25 years of loyal service.
