Rolex Ref. 1184 Two-Tone Sector Dial Rolex, Ref. 1184, case No. 61452. The case with Dublin import marks for 1929. Fine and very rare, early, 18K yellow gold, water-resistant wristwatch with double screw-down case, two-tone sector dial and Extra Prima movement.

C. Three-body, polished, reeded screw-down bezel and reeded screw-down back, concave lugs, non-screw down crown. D. Two-tone silver with sector indexes, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel baton hands. M. 10 ½???, Extra Prima, rhodium plated, 17 jewels, straightline lever escapement, uncut bimetallic compensation balance timed to six positions, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 32 mm. Thickness 10 mm.

The present watch is a fine and early example of a Rolex waterresistant watch. The case is unusual in that both the bezel and back are screw-down, a feature not normally associated with this case shape. The dial is a fine unrestored original example of the rare sector type.
