Notes

The late serial number indicates that this example was likely produced towards the very end of the reference's production, which ended in 1962. This watch, which has a three-case body (unlike the 6036 that had a two-case body), was purchased new by the consignor?s father. Having been very well taken care of over the years, it was overhauled by Bucherer in Geneva just before being consigned. To be noted is the remarkable condition of the original dial. While many dials of this reference tend to have aged noticeably, or to have been refinished, the present example is in excellent condition, showing a beautiful white coloration, a perfect outer blue date track and exactly matching luminous on the dial and hands. It is, without a doubt, one of the nicest reference 6236 dials to have appeared in a long time.
