Rolex Oyster Perpetual, "Submariner", Ref. 5508, third generation. Production started in 1957. Fine center-seconds, self-winding, water-resistant to 100 m/330ft, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with a stainless steel Oyster bracelet.

C. three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, graduated revolving black bezel for the decompression times in Arabic numerals. D. black with tritium-coated round, triangular and bâton indexes. "Skeleton" tritium-coated hands. M. Cal. 1530, rhodium-plated, 25 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 37 mm. Approx. overall length 190 mm.
