Notes

Bought new by the current consigner's father in Switzerland in the late 1930's, the watch has remained in very well maintained, original condition. The case has been lightly polished over the years but the lugs are still very thick and with great defi nition. The numbers to the back of the case are still clearly visible as well as the Rolex crown logo. The original black dial, contrary to many early Rolex chronograph dials, is in excellent condition with crisp gilt outer tracks and a wonderful light patina. It is part of the fi rst series of reference 2508 with rectangular pushers while the later examples had square pushers. A rare opportunity to acquire a black dial 2508 from the family from the original family, never been offered at auction before
