Notes

It is highly unusual these days to still fi nd Rolex references that are unknown to the collectors market, this reference is seen for the fi rst time at auction. Surprisingly big for the period, its size is even enhanced by its elongated lugs. Featuring a large screw-down waterproof caseback to house its chronometer grade selfwinding movement and a well preserved patinated dial and a highly unusual lug design, it is an important discovery in the development of large early waterproof Rolexes.
