Notes

Consigned by the son of the original owner, he has always remembered his father with this watch on special occasions. Maintained and prized as his special watch, the condition has remained excellent with a deep crisp hallmark on the underside of the case. With a perfect honeycomb dial with star indexes, it is unusual in regards to all other examples of reference 6098, as the outer track has 5-minute arabic markers usually not found on these dials. Furthermore it is interesting to note that the caseback is double stamped ?Montres Rolex SA? which Rolex sometimes did on exhibit pieces to show that it was their property but often these watches were eventually sold through their retailers.
