ROLEX SILVER PURSE WATCH Rolex, Geneve, 'Precision', case No. 63557. The case with Glasgow import marks for 1928-1929. An unusual and rare sterling silver purse watch with concealed dial opening as a desk timepiece.
Three-body, rectangular, striped engine-turned decoration, opened by depressing a button on the side, the watch sliding out and pivoting to use as a desk timepiece, hinged bow. Matte silver with sunken baton and pyramidal indexes, outer minute divisions. Silver baton hands. 10 ½ ''', rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, patented superbalance timed to 2 positions, flat balance-spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
