Rolex Cosmograph "Daytona", Ref. 6239, with black "anti-reflets" bezel. Produced in the 1960's. Very fine, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers and tachometer, with 18K yellow gold Oyster bracelet.

C. three-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back, tachometer graduation on the bezel to 200 units per hour. D. bicolor champagne and black with tritium-coated applied gold indexes, auxiliary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers. "Bâton" tritium-coated gold hands. M. Cal. 13???, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 3 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 37 mm. Approx. overall length 205 mm.

Ref. 6239-6241 (next two lots) Produced from 1961 to 1976, the first examples with exotic dial, the so-called "Paul Newman", came onto the market around 1970.
