Rolex Chronograph Ref. 6238. Production started in the 1960's.Fine tonneau-shaped, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph registers and tachometer with a stainless steel Oyster bracelet.

Cal. 13''', rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Dial, case, and movement signed. Ref. 6238This reference, called by collectors the "Pre-Daytona", was produced in stainless steel and in 14K and 18K gold. It was published for the first time in the Rolex catalogue for the Italian Market in 1964 and remained until 1967.
