Notes

Ref. 3361This asymmetric Rolex Prince wristwatch bears an escutcheon in relief for the eventual engraving of a monogramm at the bottom of the dial, where the small seconds should take place. By looking at the watch in profile, one can notice that the thickness of the top and of the bottom of the case is different. The present model of watch has never been made in stainless steel and is called aerodynamic as mentioned in advertisements of 1940 and was presented at the Swiss National Exhibition in Zurich in 1939.A similar watch is published in Collezionare Orologi da Polso Rolex, 1998 Edition, by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Guido Mondani Editore, Genova, pp. 36, 37 and 38.
