Rolex "Oyster Chronograph, Anti-Magnetic", Ref. 6036, so-called "Jean-Claude Killy", 1950's.Fine tonneau shaped, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers and triple date. Accompanied by a stainless steel Rolex buckle.

D. matte silver with inlaid polished steel triangular indexes and Arabic numerals, "guilloché" auxiliary dials for the seconds, the 12 hours and 30 minutes registers, outer blue painted graduation for the days of the month, apertures for the days of the week and the months. "Alpha" polished steel hands. M. 13''' rhodium plated, 17 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-sprin.Dial, case, and movement signed.Diam. 36 mm.

Chronograph antimagnetic with triple date.From the mid 40's to the early 60's, few examples in 18K yellow or pink gold were produced, and very few in stainless steel, with different dial designs and shapes of hands, and with four different references:- mid 40's : Ref. 4767- from 1948 to 1951: Ref. 5036- from 1951 to 1955: Ref. 6036, called the "Killy watch" by collectors (Killy was a world champion skier in the 60's).This reference was produced as follows: 170 examples in yellow gold, 144 examples in pink gold and very few in stainless steel.- from 1958 to 1962: Ref. 6236.Similar watches are published in "Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches", by OSVALDO PATRIZZI, Guido Mondani Editore, Genova, 1998, pp. 369, 370, 371, 372 and 380.
